This river cruise was a last minute decision. We tried AMA which we had been on before and they were booked. So was Crystal (extremely expensive too). Boy, were we happy they were! Avalon was amazing! So organized. The cruise director was wonderful, knowledgeable and had everything running smoothly. They made it clear that you had to be on time for excursions which everyone appreciated. Budapest was so interesting, Austria was gorgeous including the small villages. Prague! One of most beautiful cities I've been to.

The food was great and the rooms! Best ever with the giant sliding door. A fantastic singer came aboard one night and everyone loved her. Impeccable service, well run excursions and the ship was bright and airy with full windows everywhere. We met so many fun people and are still in touch with them. I'm already checking to see where we will travel to next on Avalon. Don't think we will travel on any other line again. We are hooked!
