We specifically picked this cruise (15th overall) because of the itinerary and we were NOT disappointed. We knew we would basically be using the ship to have dinner, shower and sleep. That said, do NOT select an act 8 deck cabin above the Bliss lounge. Music thumping into the storeroom every night until 1:30 AM! Dining service was great with nice variety of food and friendly servers. Ship does not have the latest amenities but we really didn't spend too much time on her. Saw two comedian/juggler/magician shows that were average at best. Coming out of 3 week dry dock, I expected some more improvements over earlier comments. Seems the main focus was to add to the specialty restaurants and not to focus on passenger upgrades. Seats in theatre still broken. New carpet in many areas. Public restrooms still broken in many p!aces. Captain said they had 1800 workers doing stuff. I guess most of them were supervisors! LOL! Excursions were wonderful. Coffee was great and food very decent such that one is not forced to use the specialty restaurants. Biggest comp!ain't is cabin location (my fault really) and the cost of drinks! NCL now adds 20% gratuity and charged tax! So that advertised daily special drink for $8.95 winds up costing $11.60 or so! The soda vending machine worked the first day then was unplugged for the remainder of the cruise so I had to order a can of soda from the pool side bar -$4.64!!! For a 12 ounce can of pepsi! 20% tip for a guy to hand it to me not even with a glass of ice! That's over the top. Overall enjoyable cruise with packed itinerary.
Do NOT pick an aft deck 8 cabin over the Bliss lounge!!!!
