On this cruise, it was myself (turned 43 the day we left- happy birthday to me) and hubby (42) on a kid-free vacation.

PRE-CRUISE

We flew out of Toronto on Saturday night, flying through the night and landing in Amsterdam on Sunday mid-morning local time. Regrettably we were unable to sleep at all on the flight so we were very zoned out for the remainder of the day but we made it our mission to stay up until at least 8:00 pm.

Port Reviews

Edinburgh (South Queensferry)

Tour through the city of Edinburgh by coach with one stop at Holyrood House.

Greenock (Glasgow)

Cruise tour to Stirling Castle. Would have rated as excellent if we had been given sufficient time to properly tour the castle.

Cobh (Cork)

We booked RCI's "Cork City and Irish Whiskey" Tour which we really enjoyed. Coach tour through the city of Cork before going to the Jamieson Distillery for a tour. Give yourself enough time to walk in to Cobh from the ship though - lovely town.

St. Peter Port (Guernsey)

Guided bus tour through a large portion of the island.

Amsterdam

Pre-cruise we made sure to do a canal cruise, spend a half day at the Van Gogh museum and also visited the Rijksmuseum.
