We did not plan on going to Alaska this year, but in early May we got a last minute deal offer from Princess and were able to score a mini suite at an unbelievable price, so we jumped on it, and it turned out to be our best cruise ever. Princess brought on a naturalist, who held informational sessions on every sea day, and she was exceptional. Very knowledgeable on a number of different subjects, and I don't think I've learned so much in such a short time since college. Not only was she informative, she presented with interest and feeling, not like a dry professor. She enhanced our cruising experience.

We were on this same ship 6 weeks earlier, and while that cruise was ok, this was much better. The entertainment was much better, the production shows were improved, and the staff was much pleasanter. And the wi-fi worked much better. On the earlier cruise we had to ask for a refund. On this cruise we had no trouble getting on-line, and were able to surf the net. The speed is still not up to our home network, but it was much better that dial up.

The dining room was excellent on most nights, but Princess has recently changed their meat supplier, and the beef dishes were terrible. The beef was tough and fatty. I tried the beef dishes 5 times and every meal was sent back and I ordered something else. All the other dinner offerings were outstanding, with the exception of the lobster. That too was tough and inedible. Three ladies at our table ordered it, and sent it back.
