Alaska was the reason for choosing this cruise. The itinerary is the principal reason for us to include cruising amongst our holidays.

All the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The ship was run very smoothly by an amazing master, Captain Tasos. He spoke brilliant English (not always the case on Celebrity ships) and was very funny. He gave a talk about the building of Solstice with which he was closely involved. It was the best thing I have ever been to in any ship’s theatre on any cruise. It was so interesting and very amusing. It lasted two hours and I think he would have liked to go on for even longer and I wish he had! The standing ovation was well deserved.

We used Blu restaurant which was excellent and was well organised by the delightful Olga. We enjoyed the food and the happy service. On the occasions we used the buffet we were very happy with the experience.

Very good indeed. Towards the stern of the ship which is where we like to be. Comfortable bed, large bathroom and brilliant steward, Anaclet. Lovely chap who couldn’t have been better.
