We selected this cruise because we had some close friends who recommended it and would be joining us. Our first impression started off the wrong way when we arrived at the cruise terminal where there was no organization on behalf of NCL. We exited our bus and proceeded to the terminal and joined a mob of people where there were no signs or assistance from the staff. After we were able to tag our bags we proceeded to stand in line on the outside of the building for about 1 hour awaiting our turn at the check in desk.

Unfortunately, the negative things stand out to me more than the positive. The most noticeable thing to me about the experience is that most of the staff genuinely didn't seem happy to be there or excited to serve, and some of the more crowded areas were understaffed. There was one point where one of the staff members refused to serve me because I would not walk over to his spot at the bar on the pool deck.

We lost a private excursion at Santorini because our captain did not manage the tendering operation correctly. The process was delayed by two hours because of his incorrect positioning of the boat with the winds. There were 3 other ships tendering at the same time and they had no issues. If you are not familiar with NCL in the tender operation it is supposed to be as followed. On the morning of the tender NCL will hand out tender tickets in a given time schedule. On this day in question it was to be from 8 am to 9 am. We showed up at 7:30 am where there were no lines and were provided ticket for group 10. One would think that there would be a line, but in this case, there wasn’t because NCL started handing out ticket HOURS before the scheduled time. Not only that, NCL gave their own excursions priority over anyone else and exempted those people from the same tendering requirements as everyone else on the boat.

Cabin Review

Obstructed Oceanview

Cabin OK

The Cabin was roomy and had plenty of storage space. Some of the furniture was in disrepair and upon our arrival the lights in the bathroom did not work and it took over 1 day to get a remote control delivered to our room for the television. On a couple of occasions at night and the early morning hours the crew was performing work on the gangways outside of our cabin and you could distinctly hear the workers walking around which made it hard to sleep.
