We arrived in San Francisco a day before our cruise.

Princess transfer from San Francisco International Airport to pier was very smooth. We met the Princess representative in the designated meeting place and was taken to a waiting area to await the bus. The bus drive shared stores and information about San Francisco as we travelled to the pier. At the pier passengers disembarked the bus and proceeded inside the terminal while the bus driver took our luggage to the loading area of the dock.

Once inside the terminal the process was quite swift. We arrived at the airport for transfer at 10:00 am and we were on the ship by 11:30 am. No waiting in lines to check in or board ship.

Cabin Review

Interior

Our cabin was organized differently than the other two sister ships we had sailed on previously. It was difficult to put our suitcases under the bed and two suitcases seemed to take up the complete closet. the location of the closet made it very difficult for someone to enter the bathroom while the other person was trying to get clothes out of the closet.

The age of the ship was definitely clearly shown in the stateroom. Even with the age of the décor our room steward was able to keep our room fresh daily to the usual Princess standard.

Port Reviews

Ketchikan

This was our 4th cruise to Alaska. We enjoy spending time just roaming around the town and visiting local shops, not all located on the street next to the pier. Being the only ship in port made for a more relaxing time as the crowds were small.
