We'd been to Alaska before, but this was the only itinerary that fit our schedule. So we went again and enjoyed it.

Yes, the Grand is 20 years old, but she's nicely maintained and updated. Family and I don't need, or want, the new higher end "can-you-top-this" features other lines are pushing on their monster ships. We're happy with the calmer Grand Princess, trivia, lectures, and games.

Food is decent, and the Crown Grill excellent. Our cabin (balcony) was nice, bed was comfortable.

Cabin BC

Nicely sized by cruise standards, well laid out. Great balcony view.
