We had such an amazing time on the NOS. This was our third cruise with RCCL and from the first day to the last we enjoyed every moment. The service was outstanding in every area and everyone was so friendly. We did not use the MD as we didn't want to be on a time frame and wanted to just take it easy and enjoy each others company. Every day was sunny skies and clear nights. The upper deck was pretty windy at night but still beautiful and the sunsets were breathtaking. The shows from the staff were just okay but they had three entertainers and each one was fabulous. The first night they had a comedian Rick Corso that just cracked us up. He also had a adult act later the next night and it was okay but his first session was so funny. Second night was a production show, just okay. Third night was a violinist Gary Lovini who just wowed everyone. When we first learned what the show was going to be, we were iffy how it would be but wow, once he started we were memorized. Fourth night was another production show and the Fifth night was a Magician/comedian that had us all laughing the night away. He was like a comedian who drank 5 energy drinks in a row and was so funny. We wanted to try the Promenade room and although hubby liked it, I prefer the ocean view or balcony. I was concerned that it would be a bit noisy but we did not hear anything and had no problem sleeping until 9 each morning. The staff in the Windjammer were wonderful and so friendly. There was a gentleman whose name was Rexford and he just made us smile. He had this wonderful presence about himself and made every single person that entered the Windjammer feel like they were the most important person. We also enjoyed the Schooner Bar where they did trivia, name that tune and other games. Both hubby and I agreed that it was one of our best vacations ever.

Labadee, Haiti

My husband and I were a bit Leary about going to Labadee with the earthquake less than a week ago. I am not sure how to post pictures of the pier that we took but to see 50+ pallets filled with Haiti relief supplies was wonderful. Pallets of water and boxes full of canned goods along with medical supplies was great to see. We did decide to go for a walk on Labadee and look around. We ended up talking to a man who works on Labadee who gave us a bit of back round about his life. He also told us how glad they are that the cruise ships still come to Labadee. Although the earthquake did not personally effect him, that they were counting on the money they make to help them support their families. I think originally people feel that RCCL should stay away from Haiti as we did. The problem is that we forget that not all of Haiti was affected by the quake and that there are many thousands of people that are still trying to live their everyday life. If RCCL stopped going to the port, what would we be saying to the Haitians that work there or do to them? Leaving them to fend for themselves and not care that their jobs and lives are important. To abandon them would be a devastating decision and I for one and glad that the ships are going to Labadee. RCCL has the opportunity to give some sort of normalcy to Haiti and also the opportunity to deliver supplies directly to Haiti. I to forgot that although the earthquake hit Port of Prince, there are many more people living throughout Haiti. We personally felt funny swimming and enjoying the beach so went back to the ship for lunch and relaxation.

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

We liked the promenade, you can watch the parades from your room and enjoy the sites. Everything was a good fit, the bed was huge roomy. We were in 7283 and it was quite quiet.
