This review concerns our cruise aboard the Celebrity Silhouette which in our case was a charter by an Australian tour operator called 'Cruise Co'. The name of the Cruise was 'Bravo' and featured a star studded entertainment lineup from the UK. The fact that it was a Charter, created some issues since it was impossible to complete some requests such as pre-purchase of beverage packages before the prices went up etc. Once through the check in process, one has to run the gauntlet of an army of staff selling food venue upgrades, on-board experiences, tours and beverage packages.

I purchased both the beverage package and upgrades for us both for three nights at any of the available upgraded dinner venues on board. Good decisions all as it turned out.

We have experienced Celebrity before on the Celebrity Zenith, a much smaller ship for a weekend experience in the Pacific Northwest. It was impressive, compared to other 'non ultra premium' cruise operators we had tried to that point. The Celebrity Silhouette was a great example of how both ships and the Celebrity company have grown up over the years since the Zenith. The ship is nothing short of spectacular. At 122,000 tons, one doesn't need the walking track to keep in shape! Everywhere one looked, the eyes were treated to spectacular and equally tasteful bling.
