This was our fourth Avalon Cruise and we were not dissappointed. We previously did the Danube from Prague to Budapest, The Rhine from Basel to Amsterdam and the Seinne from Paris to Normandy. Our cruise director Barbara was great and very informative! Daily excursions were enjoyed. We did 5 optional excursions-3 wine tasting-“fairy tale castle-Lyon culonary walk and versailles The Gypsy Kings performed one evening. The Fairmont in Monte Carlo was in a great location close to the Casino and shopping. The TGV train to Paris was seamless and easy. Luggage was trucked and waiting in our room .The only negative for the trip was the Intercontinental hotel in Paris. The hotel exterior was covered with scafolding and under construction. It was unseasonably hot in Paris and the air conditioning non existent even after 4 visits from maintenance. We spent 4 extra days in Paris and tranferred to the Le Clef Eiffel and were very happy there. We will travel with Avalon again.
