We chose this cruise because we love the Gem, and we needed this cruise to become platinum latitude members, for our next 14 day cruise. We were in a front penthouse, an excellent choice of cabin. A lot of room, with a butler and concierge, to help with reservations and problems. We received afternoon snacks from the butler everyday when we returned to the cabin to get ready for the evening.

The seas were pretty rough on the trip down to Port Canaveral but we made the best of the trip. As we had been on this cruise before, we stayed on the ship in Canaveral. The next stop was to be Great Stirrup Cay, Norwegian's island. Unfortunately, the sea was too rough for the tenders so we couldn't go to the island and headed to Nassau. We stayed in Nassau overnight. We went to the straw market and bought a few souvenirs, then walked around before going back on the ship. Coming back to New York, the sea was a lot calmer, and we were able to get lots of sun.

We ate dinner five of the seven nights at the specialty restaurants. Cagney's, Le Bistro and Teppanyaki were terrific meals. Being in a penthouse we were able to eat breakfast in Moderno with a special menu. The waiters, Peter, Andy, Christopher and Campbell, were all terrific.

Cabin Review

Penthouse with Large Balcony

Cabin SE

Great size room, lots of closet space, nice balcony with loungers, and nice amenities. Thanks to our room steward Paul, the cabin was kept neat and clean, with towel animals every day.
