Seabourn Ovation is brand new and is the most luxurious and stylish ship - we were in awe! The entertainment is world-class - both the onboard singers and dancers and the visiting entertainers, who were incredible. We feel very lucky to have seen such top-class entertainment in our intimate venue on a cruise ship. The service is second to none and the staff are attentive, caring, friendly and genuinely interested in our cruise experience.

We left Barcelona and ended in Lisbon. Destinations (except Casablanca) were well-chosen, with interesting excursions and cultures. More time in Gibraltar was needed, though.

Our V2 veranda cabin space was generous and the balcony was far bigger than we were expecting. Even though the ship was fully-booked we kept wondering where everyone was (even on the day at sea!) because there were always empty sitting spaces across the entire ship. Staff are so attentive in the outdoor eating area that we never waited more than two minutes before being asked if we wanted a drink.

Cabin Review

Veranda Suite

A spacious room, very comfy queen size bed with memory foam mattress and large pillows. Big walk-in wardrobe with loads of hangers. Very large balcony. Immaculately clean every day. And the bathroom is palatial it took our breath away! It’s just gorgeous. There’s lots of cupboard space and mini-bar.

Port Reviews

Sete

Points of interest are far apart and buses do set routes and can be a long walk to reach. Spent a lot of time waiting for buses. Traffic doesn’t stop at zebra crossings so you take your life in your hands stepping out into the traffic. It’s a pretty town, lovely fish restaurants and a beautiful beach. Needs an open-top hop on hop off bus to help tourists get round all the sights.

Malaga

Botanical gardens are good to visit

Gibraltar

Fantastic history on The Rock. First cable car goes up at 09.30am. Takes 45mins to walk from one end of The Rock to the other. We ran out of time because we had to be back on board by 4.30pm, so didn’t have enough time to explore the town as well. The views are breathtaking. A real gem of a destination

Casablanca

A dirty noisy industrial port. Filthy port covered in pigeon droppings. Buildings in the town are crumbling or in ruins. We did the Highlights and Hassan II mosque tour. Our guide was excellent. The mosque is well worth the visit, but it was the only place of real interest on the tour. Couldn’t wait to leave!
