This was our fourth cruise with Carnival and I believe familiarity with the line helps to set your expectations. My husband and I booked 3 cabins for a total of 7 additional family members traveling with us. We are in our 40s, 4 members of our party were in their mid to early 20s, and we had a 4 year old and 2 toddlers under 2.

We tend to opt for Carnival when traveling with our adult children because we feel the more party like informal atmosphere on Carnival's ships meets the needs and provides enough stimulation for the young adults, in our group. Our 4 year old grandson loves Camp Ocean. This cruise was no exception. We tend to and did have a fair to neutral perspective on the cruise, the young adults were crazy about it, and so were the little ones.

I'll start with the positives -
