I chose this cruise because of the culturally varied ports of call and was not disappointed. Embarkation queue was long and slow but the process was quite smooth when finally at the front. Our cabin was 2 floors above the outside deck smoking area, however this was not a concern at all, only heard voices one evening and no fumes at all. The proximity to the central elevators was ideal and would definitely book a cabin in this vicinity again. The ship itself is a veteran but all facilities were more than adequate, clean and well maintained. Entertainment was varied and mostly of a high standard, with 2 sessions per night. Dining was consistent with other cruise dining experiences, it can become repetitive but overall quite decent. Buffet had a variety of cuisines on select nights, but don't be too late or the only offering is pizza or pasta. Breakfast was the usual fare, a good selection to cater for all nationalities, however the fruit selection was rather limited which may have been due to the seasonal supply. Service was fairly standard in my experience of cruising, our cabin butler was excellent but nothing outstanding in the dining or bars, no bad service either. Ports of call were very diverse and offered a very different cultural experience, with the comfort of returning to a comfortable cabin at the end of a long, hot and sweaty day exploring. Shore excursions offered a variety of different activities and sights to experience.

We are a 50yr+ couple travelling alone and we would board the Celebrity Constellation again for the "right" itinerary. Some of the services such as laundry was more expensive compared to other cruises with no option to even borrow an iron, you have to pay per item. Also beware of the Visa requirements when visiting India particularly (an e-visa is acceptable) and Sri Lanka (transit visa - free). Overall a very good cruise experience with an amazing culturally diverse, interesting, and very scenic variety of ports to experience.

Great position mid ship and close to central elevators. Is above deck 4 smoking area but did not impact our experience
