So overall a great time had by all, we where a family of 14 and everyone enjoyed their time on board the Sapphire Princess Pros Embarkation and disembarkation: Was the best I have ever experienced! No major queues and the ‘senior’service team at Southampton did an excellent job! The Ship: Was a decent size not to big and standard for the price we paid for the price we paid The cabins: Are over average size and have recently been upgraded with a fantastic in cabin entertainment system loads of latests films and tv catch ups Spa: Decent, booked in for a full body on a docked day got straight in and Maria was superb for €100 (50 minutes) Food: I thought that they catered well for a group of 14 and could eat together, the buffet was good. Generally all the eateries where decent. Cons The drinks package: DONT BUY THIS!! We always get the drinks package on every cruise (that offers it) but unfortunately due to staff not being consistent in their approach the 12 month old policy 15 drinks per day (used to be unlimited), each member of your cabin can only get 1 drink at a time. We found ourself in constant battles most days swapping cards, as some staff take one card and mark off 2 drinks off and others insist on 1 per drink per card (pick a card, any card) tbf the drinks are cheap enough around £5 a pint. It’s just not worth taking the edge of your holiday by being penalised for purchasing the package Service We found that on NCL, RCC and MSC were more friendly and attentative. That being said our cabin steward was amazing! Entertainment The shows where really, really bad unfortunately the dance crew must of been new as some did not know their routines? On the last night (Variety show) best part of the show was a ‘guest passenger’ that played a beautiful piano piece Overall we had a great time and would use Princess again but NOT THE DRINKS PACKAGE!

STAY CLEAR OF THE DRINKS PACKAGE

Cabin Review

Cabin was better than average, a little upset on arrival due to ship policy that we could not have a double bed if both children where in the pull down beds? This was quickly sorted once our Steward spoke to his supervisor
