We sailed on the 14 night med escape on 26th July 2009. We almost chose royal caribbean, a company we cruised with and loved! but instead we tried NCL- big mistake. We were late getting onboard, as the check in process over ran.Meaning we missed the MANDATORY muster drill. We followed the very vibrant carpet to our cabin on deck 9. It was ok, not great.

For dinner on board there are lots of restaurants that can seat you at "any time". This definately doesn't work. There are 2 restaurants that were included in the fare. Book early though as they were constantly full!the other restaurants all had a cover charge- worth it but still. We were practicvally forced into eating in the specialist restaurants if we wanted to eat before 11PM.

Theres a few activities to do, its basically Butlins at sea. But be warned! Save your money, you need it for the shore excursions. Go for something that gives a quick tour and you could pay up to $800 for 4 people!
