Sail Date: May 2018

The ship was beautiful, well kept up and very clean. Lots of windows to bring the outdoors inside.

We stayed in an inside cabin (#8627) which was surprisingly roomy for a family of 3.

Dinner at the main dinning room was amazing and the wait staff was outstanding. The Windjammer buffet was a bit disappointing. The quality of the food just wasn't there and the options/selections were pretty poor.

Port Reviews

Rome (Civitavecchia)

We stayed in Rome for a few days prior to our cruise. This wasn't really a excursion, but a transfer from Rome to the port of Civitavecchia. We had a private transfer for our family of 3 with http://www.romecabsbooking.com. The total was 129 Euros and I highly recommend them.

Taormina (Messina)

We had a 2 hours walking tour of Messina with Discover Messina. It was a nice and affordable way to explore the city. The price was only $17 per person. Our guide picked us up right outside the gate. We got lucky and had a very small group, our family of 3 and another couple. This was a very enjoyable tour.
