We chose this cruise due to it's interesting combination of ports as well as the date. This was our second river cruise - our first was on Viking. We chose Scenic for our second cruise for several reasons:

Cabin Review
Cabin Deluxe Balcony
The cabin was efficiently laid out, and my wife and I enjoyed sitting on the balcony to look out during cruising. I must say the layout of the bathroom sink/faucet, medicine cabinet, and lighting make shaving difficult - it was just about impossible to wet my face without putting lots of water on the floor. The lighting created a shadow on the right side of my face making it difficult to see what I was doing. I have never been in a bathroom which caused such problems.
The bathroom had a nice feature which allowed you to have the lighting very dim for those bathroom trips during the night.
The closet was a bit awkward. There were two doors that overlapped. Two people had to take turns opening one side or the other when you needed clothes. It took some time to develop a good routine so we could get dressed efficiently.
The bed was comfortable and the blackout curtains were great since sunrise was around 4:30 am.
