My only prior experience with cruises were to Carribean -- 2 Disney cruises w/family and 1 Carnival cruise for my honeymoon. This was my first time on an Alaska cruise.

Generally my experience on this ship was far inferior to the other cruise lines. I'm not sure if it's destination related or cruise line related, but either way I was not impressed.

At first we booked a oceanview room, which has a window, however after booking we found out it did not come with the "Free At Sea" option that was advertised. So we called and upgraded our room to a balcony, which did come with the options. (On the plus side, the person helping us was friendly and helpful with this exchange). Read more
