Celebrity Reflection Cruise Review by kylejh
- Sail Date: May 2018
- Destination: Eastern Mediterranean
- Cabin Type: Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah
The ship is what we consider the perfect size. Not massive like the Royal Caribbean ships, but big enough to have every amenity you need.
The selection of speciality dining restaurants are fantastic, and the Opus Dining Room has consistently great food and service. We did find Qsine a bit of a letdown... last year it was more of a "tappas" style of sharing plates that you ordered from iPads, but now it's a live animation show that is a little cheesy without enough food selection.
Entertainment was great for the most part. The cast shows are extremely well done, and most of the guest entertainers were fantastic. We did have one letdown night where we left after 2 songs (a "Country & Rock duo" whose name I forget). But the best performer of the week was a singer named Jayne Curry; she had an amazing voice and was VERY funny.
The ports on this cruise were all excellent choices. Can't say anything but good things about all of them. We were parts of small group tours organized on CruiseCritic when we did tours, but a couple of places we explored on our own (including renting a car with another couple in Rhodes and driving to Lindos).
Our only issue with the ship is the temperature of the fitness centre. The heat in there makes it difficult to workout. I can't understand why it doesn't have better A/C.
I would highly recommend both the ship and the itinerary.

City TourIt was nice to see Athens, but aside from the Acropolis, there isn't a lot to see.View All 155 City Tour Reviews
Malta (Valletta)Great island. Wish we'd had more than a day here. We took the city bus to Mdina for a few hours (only 1.50 Euros per person for the bus ride).View All 618 Malta (Valletta) Cruise Port Reviews

MykonosGood experience, but wouldn't do it again. One of the people in our group lost control of her horse and fell off; that made us think it might not be best thing to do in hindsight.View All 13,320 Mykonos Cruise Port Reviews

NaplesLoved both the Amalfi Coast and Pompeii. If you've never been to Pompeii, put it on your list. Blew me away.View All 13,320 Naples Cruise Port Reviews

RhodesExplored on our own (rented a car with another couple and drove to Lindos). Rhodes was a great island to see, but we thought the Old City was terrible. Amazing to see the ancient walls and buildings still there, but it's nothing but touristy restaurants and gift shops with aggressive employees bugging you to come inside at every place. If you go to Rhodes, skip the Old City and go explore somewhere else.View All 482 Rhodes Cruise Port Reviews

SantoriniLOVED Santorini. Everything about it. We saw most of the island with a small group (12 of us) in a bus. Oia is as beautiful as all the pictures, and the island was so awesome. We really wished we had more time in Santorini.View All 13,320 Santorini Cruise Port Reviews
