Traveled on the 8th Jan. 2010 THE GOOD.. Polite dinning staff thats it. THE BAD.. We have been on the Island Escape many years ago, which was not too bad, but said would not go again. As we have never been on a cruise in the Canaries we thought give it a try, even after reading reviews we thought it can't be that bad. WHAT A MISTAKE WE MADE. It was not the same ship we remembered, rust everywhere, maintenance does not exsist, toilets patched up, tiles hanging off, cabin needs complete refurbishment, the whole ship does, there is too much to say about the condition of this ship. Would not recommend this ship to anyone. I have read the other reviews and they are truthful. There was a lot of people sick not by the rolling of the ship, it was NORO again, they like to say it was bought on board by passengers they do no want to think its the ship, I had checked with a person who works on this ship, and this is not new. there was sickness before our cruise. They do not clean very well, there are places which have never seen a cloth, and I never saw a supervisor go round with a white cloth to check, like other ships do. No wonder this sickness is always happening, I would like to have taken over the hygiene of this ship. By the time I had finished half the crew would want to leave working under me, there is no disipline. WOULD NEVER SAIL ON THIS ONE AGAIN.
