I love cruising out of NJ on Royal Caribbean Anthem. Thought I’d give Adventure of the Sea a try. Very disappointed. Ship was overcrowded, entertainment was mediocre, food was mediocre, coffee was awful (like drinking burnt mud). Service was good. Ship is old and shows it. Couldn’t even go into casino due to cigarette smoke. Prominade was always overcrowded. Had to stand in line for cafe. Had a cabana in cococay which we loved. The mystery theater dinner was terrible not worth the money. Cabin was clean. Room steward was very good. Waiter and asst waiter made our dining experience pleasurable even though I didn’t enjoy the food. Entertainment was nothing special. In spite of all this a cruise is what you make it. I was with family so we still had a great time. Would not sail on this ship again. I think I’ll stick to the Anthem. I hear the Celebrity Summit is also a good cruise out of N J.
