In the last 24 years, my wife and I have taken approximately 24 cruises. That's right, a cruise per year. We have cruised on all the major lines, with the exception of Cunard, which is on my wish list. We have cruised on each line a number of times. However, we keep coming back to Celebrity, because it is simply outstanding. In particular, we keep coming back to the Summit. This was our 4th cruise on the Summit, and it was probably our best. "How can that be?" You ask. After all, the Summit is 16 years old, and she certainly doen't have all the "bells and whistles" of larger and newer ships. But, like a fine aged wine she has "class" and everything you would want on a luxury cruise line. From the moment we entered the cruise terminal until the time we left the ship, every staff member greeted you with a smile and a helping hand to assist you and try to make your experience the best it could be. The service, food, and entertainment were all excellent. Although the weather for the first three days was very disappointing, that certainly did not spoil our vacation, knowing that each evening we would have an elegant meal, with great food and service, the funniest comedians, best singers and dancers, and great entertainers throughout the ship. Special compliments to our cruise director, Patrick, our waiter Carmelo, and our morning waiter Donovan. In stead of having her best years behind her, the Summit has established herself as one of the great Classic ships of all times!!!
