We are well travelled and this was our first time cruising. Departed from Barcelona, 12 days around and return. A balcony room was great , food was just ok. Yes lots of it but quality no better than the average resort buffet. Ate in the dining room where service was what they needed to get by and food most times was over or under cooked. Staff at guest services need some lessons on identifying and meeting customer needs. I so often was told or heard we "can't " on simple requests or I don't know without action to enquire without being prodded. Their further "nickle and diming" for simple things like a yoga class and adding 18% "service charge" in addition to 18% tips already paid is excessive. Entertainment was great and staff in the buffet area very pleasant and accomodating ( Joseph the chef) and Sharon the hostess in the dining room. When front line reception is not forthcoming with info it is a caution flag! All ports but one were we able to walk off on our own without need for tendering or bussing. Royal chooses well in advance fees for docking and they went with commercial areas not conducive to tourists. Not likely to cruise with this company again.

Not impressed!
