We chose the Danube Waltz Cruise because it sailed through a part of Europe we had never seen. Also, because of the casual dress code and and lesser number of passengers on a river boat.We enjoyed the superb accommodation and excellent service provided by Viking. Our stateroom on the main deck was comfortable and the house keeping was meticulous. We had the daily schedule placed on our bed every evening. It gave us the history of the places we will visit and details of optional activities. This was very helpful . Viking did a good job of arranging trained English speaking guides. We enjoyed the daily included tours. We kept the afternoon to ourselves for a short nap and the a walk to explore the place in our own .

We had choices for our meals and the service was first rate. We also got to dine with a limited number of people and made a few cruise buddies!
