This was my first cruise experience, and I had really high expectations. My wife has been on many cruises before, and is a loyal Norwegian patron. We had a GREAT time (especially once the weather began to cooperate). The ship is HUGE and yes, using the elevators was a bit difficult at times but once we figured out the peak vs non-peak times it really was not an issue. Admittedly I was a bit underwhelmed by some of the food, I felt like there weren't a lot of healthy options but, there was some really great food too.

Straws. Let's talk about that. If you like the frozen drink varieties, you really need to drink those through a straw (think Mudslides) but for some odd reason, mid-cruise, the straws went away. When asked we were told that the corporate HQ is trying to "go green" so they've elected not to make straws available any longer. While I admire their attempt to be conscientious about our environment, they need to re-think this strategy. All the drinks were quite good and quite plentiful. The staff at the pool area was fantastic and very attentive.

The entertainment........wow. I found myself really looking forward to the evenings so we could see a show (CHOIR OF MAN, BEST SHOW!!!) or hang out at the Atrium to watch whatever fun activity was occurring that evening, we laughed, ALOT, soooo fun. Read more
