A seriously discounted trip with the plus - for me- of no days at sea. On boarding the ship the only concern was to sell passengers packages - no directions to cabin. Get to right corridor then directed down to Guest Services, considerable queue, at desk told to go to cabin, do so , queue again. Got a handshake from a Frenchman for helping him avoid our mistakes . First stop Bari - well worth a visit - on return to ship a queue to get through port security. Queue grows in size - estimate 200+ - no apology, no water. We complain - ' but it's the fault of the port authorities' . Solution we plus a group of 4 who complain are guided through the queue to a very short one for new passengers. Nobody else is moved leaving families with small children and old people lined up in the sun for over an hour. Take up the issue on board ' it's the fault of the port authority'. Staff training? - wine bar - ' this wine is from Italy' 'where?' 'I don't know' . Ho hum. Food adequate - no wow factor. Best bet lunchtime at formal restaurants. Reasonable choice at buffet but how can an Italian cruise ship make pizza so uninspiring. Late sitting 9.15 - not so good after a long day out. Saw two shows - good gymnasts. Took no trips - as so often seemed expensive for what they offered
