Our experience on the Pride of America was awful! We only went to two ports Maui and Kauai. They cancelled Hilo and Kona because of the volcanic activity. I have a friend who lives in Kona and she said the island was fine. We walked into Maui and there was a T.J. Max and Ross for less store. That's it! These ports that Norweigan stops at are WORKING PORTS. There is no shopping, and it was the same in Kauai, so if you don't have an excursion planned you are out of luck! The entertainment was terrible. The comedian was the only one worth seeing. The magician was terrible. You can see better magic on the streets of Las Vegas. How about Bingo? Norweigan only offered bingo twice for the full week. This is a ship that the median age is over 70 and they only offer it twice? Some ships have it twice a day. I don't think the ship was refurbished in 2016 because our medicine cabinet in the bathroom had mold in it. The best thing we did were the excursions. Some of the tour guides were complaining that norweigan did not let their customers know the appropriate clothing items to bring on the excursion. For example, the sunrise crater excursion, you should bring gloves, coat, blanket, flashlight etc. Lastly, I was told when I booked this cruise that I would be getting $300.00 in onboard credit. I never got it! I guess I'm not surprised because this was truly the vacation from hell.
