I chose this cruise as I have cruised Princess frequently in the past and it has by far become my favorite cruise line UNTIL this cruise. I have canceled all future Princess cruises due to this horrific experience. The lack of basic customer service was unbelievable. I understand they made the decision to not stop to do a pick up in Le Harvre due to weather concerns. I am fine with this issue as it is understandable however, Princess knew of this decision at 8 pm the night prior. The embarkation passengers were only told this at 7am the day of embarkation. Additionally, in the 7am email we were told to get to our transfer point and there would be princess reps to assist us on how to get from France to the UK (where the ship would be docked at). There was NOT. The only rep there was made it clear that it was his first day on the job and that he did not work for princess and that we were "lucky" that he was going to direct us to the airport. When we were shown to the airport, this rep did not know where he was going and then when he discovered that the flights to the UK were already sold our at 8am, he disappeared and we were left in the Paris Airport to fend for ourselves and find our way to the UK. The experience gets worse as after a day of travel, we finally made it to the ship at 11:30. Even our taxi cab driver assumed that we were crew as the way Princess treated us. When we informed him that we were passengers, he laughed and said, wait, you are on Holiday? You paid for this?? The laugher that came our of him was completely the way we felt. You really can't make this up. We checked in and were assured that there would be set up for us. There was, an egg sandwich left in your room from that morning. The smell indicated that it was indeed spoiled. That was it. One old egg sandwich for all the people in the room. The following day I visited the customer service desk, which should NOT be called customer service as the only this that I received there, was a hand in my face telling me "I don't want to hear about it! You need to contact Princess USA" That is very convenient for them since I was in the middle of the ocean. To give them the benefit of the doubt, I visited the desk 3 different times while on the cruise assuming that the first person was just having a bad day. Nope same reaction each time! Additionally, I booked 5 princess excursions during this cruise. Once was canceled due to missing the port for bad weather. I completely understand that. 2 of them, the busses broke down and left us stranded on the side of the road. One we were left stranded for over 3 hrs and missed most of the excursion and second we were stranded for over an hr and black smoke filled the bus. Much to my surprise, we were not provided with a full refund just a 50% OBC for one and 30% OBC for the second. Two busses on two different excursions break down and they can't completely refund since we missed most of what we paid to see??

The worst part of this cruise is that I kept the belief that once I arrived from the cruise that Princess would make this right. After all, I spent over $500 euros to get from France to the UK, having two busses break down and the entire ordeal. Boy, was I fooled. I was contacted by Princess USA stating that corporate was not going to refund anything further than they already had (one day cost for the cruise as an OBC). I was shocked. I immediately requested to speak to a supervisor. I was denied. I asked if they were going to refund my "pre-paid" Princess transfer from CDG airport to the ship. I was told no that I had to provide proof of alternate transportation. Princess failed to provide transportation as they weren't even there! There was no bus there as promised yet, I still have to provide proof that I took an alternate transportation. I was shocked!! I again, demanded to speak to a supervisor. Again my request was denied. I am a platinum member with princess and take about 3-4 cruises per year. I have canceled all future cruises on Princess due to this experience.
