One person in our party was offered a cruise from the casino we took the offer and upgraded. Spoiled ourselves on the 1st cruise experience with a Family Suite with balcony. The Boston to Bermuda cruise had lots to do, or you could do nothing. Restaurant service was good and everyone was friendly. The food was good and plenty. The morning and lunch crew at Cagneys were super friendly and easy going. The ship floor plan was somewhat confusing, mostly aft, and took a bit to get acquainted. Enjoyed walks around deck 7. Utilized the free gym (some classes were for a fee) and thermal spa package. Somewhat disappointed that the hot tubs didn't have real jets to work on my back. I was the only one with a smartphone and utilized iconcierge on my phone (their free onboard app) which came in handy to see activities for the next few days, nothing from menus though so I took photos of those. Entertainment all round was great.
Cabin 12528's size was amazing and was shared by 3 ladies. The Cabin/stateroom was port side and I was originally worried about the cigarette smoke wafting down but it wasn't bothersome at all. Even on port days when the wind wasn't blowing It wasn't a big concern. It didn't even fill the corridor that exited right into the covered smoking area on the pool deck. There wasn't as much foot traffic as expected and people never really lingered anyway. We saw more of our room steward than the butler who only brought snacks daily (which seemed more of a waste). We made no requests aside from a pre-boarding call to concierge a few weeks in advance to separate the bed which didn't happen because 1) the butler didn't see the message til that day and 2) there was already a true king in it. They could have changed it but it ended up that we didn't need to. One person slept on the murphybed which we asked to be kept down all week. She was asleep within minutes - no complaints about that bed. We never closed the privacy curtain around the bed however the pull out wall was helpful in blocking any morning light. No fancy pillow options were offered and had to ask for the robes. Only I used a robe and boy was that plush. The rain shower was fantastic. No low flow fixtures found here. ample outlets, maybe 3 on the desk area and maybe one in the bath - i never looked. We spent a fair amount of time in the room watching movies or lounging on the balcony. We had some breakfasts and lunches in Moderno/Cagneys. The lunch menu did not change. Breakfast pretty much had the same offerings as the buffet. Definitely a lot quieter and you were guaranteed a seat! Never ate breakfast in MDR for comparison. WiFi worked best when the cabin door was opened slightly. Embarkation was a breeze. We were walked to the head of the line (a little awkward). Disembarkation was after the carry your own luggage off folks, so not as brisk as embarkation.
