It seems fashionable today to rubbish the Carnival Corporation for incrementally dismantling and destroying the P&O brand. Sadly, this trend continues apace. In its race to reach the lowest common denominator, Carnival continues to provoke negative comment from its unmerited loyal customers. Often with considerable justification. There is no point itemising P&O's death by a thousand cuts...much too painful...besides, Carnival is not remotely interested. As they say in Yorkshire - you cannot educate pork!
Do not believe the advertising hyperbole, reduce your expectations, prepare to be underwhelmed, don't be surprised if the ship's engines break down resulting in a missed port, do not expect the advertised celebrity chef to appear on board and despite all of the preceding observations, you just might have a reasonable holiday.
We did, but then we are part of Carnival's gang of unmerited loyal customers...no one to blame but ourselves! As they say in Yorkshire....
A standard balcony cabin situated aft on the starboard side. Kept clean and tidy by the overworked cabinet steward who was both attentive and willing; thank you Jorgy.
Am I imagining it, or, did Ventura not previously have the facility of interactive television offering the opportunity to review the current state of your on-board account? If so, I wonder why this is no longer available?
