My wife and I have been travelling to the Caribbean and Mexico for over 20 years and, until now, purposely avoided the cruising option. This time we travelled with another couple (who we have travelled with before) and between us decided that the low prices being offered made it worthwhile to give it a try.

The opportunity to visit 6 ports of call - 5 of which we had never visited before, and get a brief glimpse of what the island had to offer was an attraction, and the cruise delivered. In past years we often chose "all inclusives" which allowed us to sample the various drinks on offer (as well as meals) without the need to worry about costs being incurred. This is now less of a concern.

What we found first and foremost was an incredible gourmet menu of food available at all times. Service that almost made us uncomfortable they were so attentive.
