We have been on approximately 25 cruises on maybe 7 different cruise lines, but never on Celebrity before our cruise to Iceland from Dublin. It was the itinerary that attracted us and Dublin and Iceland did not disappoint.

Prior to the cruise we were advised not to come to the pier for embarkation until 4:30. we spent the day touring Dublin, and we were lucky enough to have made a reservation for the Kilmainham Gaol. You need to do that ahead of time. Anyway, by the time we arrived at the ship, the boarding process was a snap. No lines, walked right through in time to make the 5 o'clock fire drill.

Since we picked the cruise based on the itinerary, we were not too concerned with other aspects of the cruise. The balcony stateroom on deck 6 was fine although it was a little cold for us to take advantage. Maybe a May cruise in the North Atlantic is a month too soon. The stateroom was roomy as was the bath, the only criticism being the lack of storage space for our clothes. We had to use storage cabinets over the beds which were awkward to access. The steward was terrific. The room always clean. He got to know our schedule and made up the room as soon as he saw us leave, both in the morning and at night.
