We flew from Detroit to Florida ( Fort Lauder dale)the day before our cruise we stayed at the Red Carpet inn, there were no malls around in case we needed to get any last minute items.. We walk about 1/2 mile to the nearest convenient store to buy some water and pop and bear... The hotel was clean, and hot. There was have been something wrong with the air conditioner... They have a restaurant on site it was OK. They offered a free shuttle to the ship but there was so many people going and only 2 vans, we opted to take a cab. Once at the ship we stood in line for a very short time and were on board the boat by noon... It was very fast and efficient. We checked our room out it was a nice clean room, the shower is small but served it's purpose. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were just as comfortable. Our room was ocean view obstructed ~ we had a nice view ~ although next cruise we will go balcony for sure. Our Porter's name was Nopporn he was very polite, and very helpful any questions I had he answered and when I paged him he was calling in no time. Being it was our first cruise it was overwhelming but beautiful. The kick off party of our departure was great, every one was in the mood to vacation! We took our own tour of the ship and I was amazed... so many things to do and go and so many places to eat,and drink... We found our favorite spot (at the back of the ship) being we had no children and this was an adult only area it was nice... we stayed there until dark and decided to get something from the Horizon court for dinner... They had everything you could imagine, and the fresh fruit was so juicy. The hot meals were delish! Very good food.. They had everything you could imagine on this ship, art autions, casineo's shopping( some good deals on the ship) I bought a few things... I felt like a princess on this ship... You could do what you wanted when ever you wanted... I will defintely go again...
There were some day's that the weather did not co-operate but that's no fault of the cruise line... In spite of the few cool nights...We had the time of our lives! Princess Cays was an Island of rest, swim, snorkel, light shopping...
lunch on the Island... It was hard to find a chair but with 2000 or so
Our cabin was great, enough room to get around, the shower was small but for as long as I was in there it served it's purpose... Our room was closer to the front of the ship... There was a quiet location... the view was good
