Had not cruised on Princess in several years and decided to give them another try. This was by far the worst cruise in terms of both gourmet food selection and the size of the cabin bathroom that I have ever experienced, in over thirty years of cruising on six different cruise lines. They seem to crunch 3000 passengers into tiny cabins and group rooms designed for 2000. Always a feeling of being terribly crowded with times that no tables were available for lunch buffets or in the lounges. The. balcony cabin was the smallest I have ever had with no room for a lounge chair on the balcony and truly uncomfortable levels of space for the toilet and shower in the bathroom.

Food choices and quality in the main dining room were very disappointing. They had zero options during the entire cruise for any form of lobster, crab, duck, veal, or lamb dishes. Even onion soup was never offered, nor any diverse interesting food dishes offered on all other mid to high end cruises I have been on. For the same price or slightly more, You can get a tremendously better dining and cabin experience on either Holland or Celebrity.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin BD

Smallest balcony cabin ever experienced. No room for a lounge chair on the balcony. Tiny bathroom with truly uncomfortable amount of space to use the toilet or shower. No sofa or loveseat. Very compact, crowded space in the cabin, similar to public rooms on this ship. Sometimes felt like part of a 3000 herd of cattle cramped into what was originally designed for 2000.
