Size of the ship and ambiance, we liked that it seemed geared towards a younger crowd. The food and service at the specialty restaurants was above and beyond. The free “included” food was below average. If you are not open to “add ons” and upselling then this wouldn’t be the ship for you. I am open to paying for extra perks in some cases (the wifi package was SO worth it). I did not enjoy feeling like I was being attacked by salespeople however every time I tried to enter the gym due to having to pass through the spa first. I think they should add some more (tasty) healthy options as part of the free food. The food at the “spa cafe” was a joke. I would’ve willingly paid for some light and healthy spa food, but there were only high calorie, low quality wraps and sandwiches that looked exactly the same as the ones you could grab for free at the Park Cafe. Maybe that’s why it was always empty.

Cabin Review

Ocean View with Large Balcony

Cabin 1C

Pro: The balcony was HUGE! Very impressed for the small difference in price for a regular balcony room. Con: The cabin itself was tiny, but the bed was huge. The couch was unecessary as it took up space was just a place to plop our suitcases and piles of stuff. I would’ve been more than happy with a Queen sized bed instead of a King and no couch but a few more feet of free space or even more counter space or drawers.

Port Reviews

St. Maarten

Ate at the Holland House Hotel. Beautiful views and great service and food. Had a nice walk over and even saw some Mountain Goats!!

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We stayed the night before in the Marriot Beach Place Towers.

San Juan

The city was lovely and full of lots of cafes and stores to explore, but the time spent there was too short.

Labadee

We wanted to browse the little shops and probably would’ve bought stuff but the local people were constantly all over you. Wasn’t expecting such pushy salespeople on RC’s private island. It doesn’t make for a pleasant shopping experience so we left and got back on the boat. Would’ve loved to do some of the more adventurous excursions but my boyfriend is a bigger guy at around 275lbs and he tipped the weight limit on almost all of them. Even when he was just under the limit we were scared to risk it for safety reasons in a foreign country. I’d imagine there were quite a few people from the ship in a similar predicament. I didn’t wanna go on the excursions alone because the idea is to experience it together.
