This was our 13th cruise using several different lines in the past. Our 5th with Carnival. Our review is based on the excursions we took.

Cruised out of Tampa on Carnival Legend Jan 10-17. Arrived at the port at noon and had an hour and 15 minute wait to board. Long lines and cold outside. Coldest sail away party out of Florida I've ever had. Because of the cold temps, the interior areas and the lido deck cafe were packed. There were very few persons outside.

The first day at sea was somewhat better but very few people around the pool and only saw a handful willing to actually get in the pool.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8a

We had cabin 5236. This is one of the obstructed view cabins with the extended balcony. It is 3 times the length of the balconies on either side of us. It is called obstructed view because of the life boats being directly beneath you. This was no problem because you can still see straight out and it was very little problem for the cheaper price.

The room is directly next to the elevator but it was extremely quiet without any anchoring or engine noise.
