This was a trans Atlantic and it made stops in Ponta Delgado, Waterford, Cork, and Dublin, Ireland. We initially signed up for the following cruise to Ireland, Iceland and Shetlland Islands then decided to give this a try, our first trans Atlantic. It was a great decision. We had a very smooth crossing, way smoother than the follow on cruise. The guest entertainers were outstanding, especially Jane Curry, a singer/comedian. Her show was SRO. The Beyond the Podium speakers were also informative and entertaining. There were so many activities it was hard to decide between them. There was music throughout the ship and it seemed at all times. The CD Eddy Jenkins and the Activities Manager, Giuseppe were hilarious together and made the cruise so much fun. The service in all venues including the Oceanview was very good. Food was very good to excellent. In lieu of an included beverage package perk, we decided to take advantage of a price drop after final payment and upgraded to a Sky Suite. With lots of sea days we really appreciated Michaels Club. I loved their afternoon tea and there was usually live music to accompany it. Manuella the Michaels Club Concierge was so helpful and Neville, our evening bartender was so accommodating. Eddy Jenkins took the usual Celebrity entertainments and enhanced them. For example, the Silent Disco became the Battle of the DJs. There was an evening of ABBA with dancing and a sing along, so much fun. This is by far the best cruise we have taken. With so much entertainment you didn’t even notice the 7 days at sea before we hit land. We liked the atmosphere and the attention of the waiters in Luminae but now know we prefer the more creative dishes in Blu. However, for a 15 night cruise with so many sea days, the extra cabin space and Michaels Club was appreciated.

Sky Suite 2

Cabin S2

I was nervous about this cabin because it is under the Oceanview Cafe, but we rarely heard any noise and when we did it was very muted. It was a great deck, same as pool and only up one to the Oceanview Cafe. The bed was by the bathroom. Lots of storage and a real sized bathroom! I bring along a clothesline and magnetic hooks to do some hand laundry on long cruises (B2B this was 25 nights) and the lovely marble walls were not magnetic, but the ceiling was so I put my clothesline over the tub with the magnetic hooks on the ceiling.
