After an exhaustive review (at least it seemed like one) we chose the Scenic. Nuremberg was an important stop for us and we also had never been to Budapest and this cruise met those criteria. I felt that the overall cost vs value was as good or better than all other all other cruise lines. The ship was outstanding and the cabin was as described. The dining, service and crew exceeded our expectations.The excursions were well planned with excellent guides.

We did want to spend more (than the 2 hour stop) time in Passau. The Cruise Director (Richard) provided us with maps to the train station so we couild spend more time in Passau . We then took the train, after our day in Passau, to Linz and met the boat there when it arrived. A fantastic day.

We would recommend to travelers to arrive a day early. This would make it easier to stay awake during the embarkation briefing. Plus, it would have permitted more time seeing Nuremberg We are looking forward to another cruise and Scenic will be our first choice. Read more
