Sail Date: Mar 2018
Cabin: Aqua Class Balcony

This was a birthday celebration trip and we choose the cruise based on the itinerary and our past history with celebrity. I will start with the most important:

Food: Blu Restaurant: The reason for Aqua Class, was fantastic every time. Cassius & Nurul are the best, always attentive and informative. We would wait to sit in their section, great personalities as well. Oceanview Cafe: Generally good, however it took awhile. The first day is always a little crazy, but I noticed the water tasted like swamp water especially the first day, a sales tactic to sell bottled water? After the first two days, water was back to normal. On day two, arrived for breakfast at 8:00 a.m. many stations had limited food, for example 4 cartons of yogurt, bruised bananas , coffee tasted like it been sitting for a very long time. After that day, seemed to get into a rythum because succeeding days, food seemed fresh and stocked. Although always seemed to have issues with bananas. Spa Cafe: In past sailings this has been a great place for lunch, not so much on this cruise. The Turkey Club sandwich, was soggy even though it had appeared to be grilled. Roasted vegetable wrap tiny, filled with mostly tomatoes and green something. Quinoa salad very good, suggest small signs by the items so you don’t have to guess what it is from the menu. When Spa Cafe was first introduced on the Celebrity, it was excellent, great choices, and different items each day. It is now, the same each day and the quality has gone down considerably

Meet & Greet: Silva Morales , Event Coordinator somehow thought holding a Meet & Greet in the middle of dinner and the nightly show at 7:45 was a good idea. It could have been held the next morning when we didn’t reach port until 12 Noon. I understand it was not well attended, maybe that was the point.

Cabin Review

Aqua Class Balcony

Cabin A1

Cabin, 9043: This is where the Constellation is showing her age, however this was also Aqua Class, cabin which should have been maintained a bit better. The closet had many missing hangers. The mirror in the bathroom needs to be re-silvered—looked terrible. We found out the first night that the shower leaked from the bottom, so after shower you were treated to another foot bath. We informed our cabin attendant, who said “It was reported a week ago”. A week ago? Throughout the entire cruise we used extra towels to mop up the water—I guess that is what they meant by Aqua Class. No effort was made to repair this situation. The balcony door did not lock. The drapes we worn and frayed, as was the robe. A puzzling note: the cabin had two large bottles of water for sale, however two small bottles were complimentary. I believe Aqua Class entitles you water in your room, we had to ask several times during the cruise. We did not ask for the tea or anything else during our voyage..
