This was mine, and my husband's third time on the Getaway. We have also been on the Epic, but were not fans of the bathroom layout. We chose the Getaway again because of the energy onboard, layout of the ship and staff responsiveness. Part of everyone's Christmas gift this year was a family cruise....including our three grown children and 2 grandchildren ages 18 months and 3 1/2 year old.

Pre Cruise we stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn Dania Beach and can not say enough about how accommodating they were for us (traveling with the little ones). The accommodations were fine, and we made use of the pool area as well.

We purposely planned the stateroom locations, in one area of the ship, but not right together, allowing for each to have a more personal cruise (since this was a first for them), meeting up with one another on board sporadically, or as planned for shows. Read more
