Viking has been our cruise line of choice since our first river cruise in 2013 followed by another river cruise and an ocean cruise on Viking Star in 2015. My wife and I decided to take this most recent ocean cruise on Viking Sea (our fourth cruise) based on the quality services we received previously and the itinerary offered. Viking Sea is a beautifully designed and engineered ship with comfort and safety in mind in the cabins and in the public areas. The ship is meticulously well maintained 24/7 and is spotless. Our stewards were top-notch and ensured that our cabin was ready for us and met our every need. All we needed to do was ask and it was done.We have never met an unhappy staff or crew member on any of our cruises, and this cruise was no exception. Viking does an excellent job in manning the ships and it is evident that they are totally vested in the welfare and well-being of each individual employee.

Just prior to our embarkation we were offered an upgrade to a larger Penthouse Veranda cabin which we jumped at. The additional space and storage were well worth it considering that it would be our home for three full weeks. This upgrade also provided free access to the refrigerator including alcohol. Our cabin was well appointed with a king sized bed, full sized couch and side chair, and a credenza with storage space. Our stewards attended to our cabin at least three times a day to include turning down the bed at night. We enjoyed the private veranda which is available with every cabin.

Free Wi-Fi was available throughout the ship and was for the most part, reliable. There were some ports where the satellite coverage may not have been as good but overall we were satisfied with the service.
