This was our first cruise, we travelled out of Miami as a family ranging from under 1 to 75, MSC Seaside did not disappoint, if anything I think it has started a cruise obsession with each and every one of the family. Like a previous reviewer I too attempted to change our cruise based on previous reviews, I can hand on heart say these reviews had to have been based on teething problems because by the time we set sail MSC Seaside had everything under control. The staff were excellent, very attentive, always smiling and ready to serve, help, advise etc.....The restaurants were fantastic, food in the Seashore was superb every evening as was our waiter Michael, we ate there all but one night when we chose to try the Teppanyaki ....what a fun night, the chefs are amazing and food was excellent. The shows are brilliant, the entertainers and artists are top class and Steve adds some giggles before and after the show, we went to the 6.45pm show most nights and never had a problem finding a seat, the later show is definitely busier so might be wise to book in advance, all bookings for excursions, restaurants, salon, spa and shows can be made easily on the MSC app on your phone. DO NOT let other reviews turn you off, as per above I'm sure there were initial teething problems and unfortunately some people never think to add a good review but only review to have a rant. All in all excellent ship that I would highly recommend.
We had a balcony cabin, I felt the room itself was big enough, the beds were very comfortable and the balcony served it's purpose letting in plenty of light and enabling us to sit out if/when we wanted to, it was nice to wake up in the morning and be able to look out at our latest destination without having to go up on deck. Wayne was our room attendant and he did an excellent job, room was kept immaculately clean and he always met us with a smile in the corridor. Bathroom was small but I didn't expect it to be any bigger, it too served it's purpose and was kept spotless clean.
We walked around Nassau without taking a tour, it was beautiful, very friendly and we felt safe, a lovely port with plenty of shopping, restaurants and bars.
