This was an 8 day cruise from Venice to Rome. It was our second Viking Ocean cruise and as with our first cruise, we were very happy with the ship, staff and food. Our cabin was on deck 8 - a new experience for us as we were one deck above the pool and cafe, but very close to the Explorers Lounge. The staff is very attentive and friendly and our Captain was very funny. The crew nicknamed him the Robin Williams of the sea. The specialty restaurants were very good and the food in the Cafe was above average as well.

All of the excursions we took were well organized and the tour guides were very knowledgeable.

We did the post extension to Florence and Siena. It was absolutely wonderful! The villa we stayed at was beautiful and our Tour Director was exceptional. Our excursions were all well organized and very enjoyable. Our meals were all above average as well. Would definitely recommend this extension - it was well worth the money.
