We wanted to go to Cuba and decided that a cruise would be best. We had sailed with RC before and had a positive experience. Unfortunately, that didnt happen this time. The ship is old and needs to be refitted top to bottom or retired. They claim that it was refurbished in 2016 but all we could see was the carpet was replaced. The staterooms are MINUSCULE, and have not been updated at all since the maiden voyage! Everything about the ship is old and outdated, with little to no activities, bad quality of food and customer service is non-existence.

Day 1 - boarding took over 2 hours in line, their excuse first time to Cuba. Really? How about they don't know how to move people efficiently through the process.

Day 2 - arrival into Cuba - pouring rain, didn't leave ship.

The tiniest, oldest cabin ever! See more remarks above.

Port Reviews

Tampa

We stayed overnight in Ybor City and went to the Columbia Restaurant for lunch which was superb and The Bricks for dinner which was trendy but delicious. We started to take a walk down the main street after dinner but was filled with homeless people and didnt look very safe. Overall, we loved Ybor City and its Cuban flavor.

Havana

We had a private guide and driver who picked us up in a 52" Chevy convertible. Our tour guide, Amado was FABULOUS! Please contact me for his info. Very reasonable, professional and knowledgeable. Havana is a city still living in 1950's with little to no updating. The Cubans are friendly and seem very happy with the political system.

Cozumel

I just love Mexico, the people, the beach, the shopping! If you like to haggle this is the place for you. We did a good deal of shopping then had lunch at Pauncho's Garden. The food portions are big and the prices are small. Their store is filled with wonderful items as well.
