What a great experience on our first TA Cruise! We were celebrating our retirements and our 40th anniversary. It was our second time on the Epic so we were aware of the little quirkiness of the ship...but that's what gives the ship it's "character"!
The food was FANTASTIC...with Cagney's and Moderno being much better experiences than we had on previous NCL ships. The entertainment was PRIMO...as long as you were patient and made reservations. Service was "spot on"... with our cabin steward, Noel and Cha Cha in Shaker's being our favorites! The crew all seemed happy & helpful. Andre was a great cruise director. (I hope he met everybody!) Marj had some minor internet problems but they were corrected quickly. We made many new friends,as we usually do on our cruises. There were plenty of quiet areas for some murder/mystery novels too. We were at the gym every day and had no problem getting on the equipment.
The room was very comfortable with plenty of storage...again we already knew of the quirkiness of the bed and bathrooms, so no surprises there! We considered the curved walls and the bed just part of the Barcelona "Gaudi" experience! We enjoyed the bars and the musicians and the wine selection was pretty good. In Cagney's they had I-Pads that showed all the available wines with pics of their labels. GREAT IDEA...maybe consider doing that at all the restaurants/bars!
Very quiet...A/C and plumbing worked fine...plenty of storage space...nice balcony. We weren't in the room too much, there were too many other things to do!
