Our travel agent did a great job with this pick! Although it was a huge ship it was easy to navigate. We would definitely cruise an Oasis Class Royal Caribbean again. Captain handled a medical issue with one of the passengers which arose overnight as we left Nassau and got us to Cozumel almost on time after he got the patient safely to Miami. Great job to the Captain and crew. We tried all included options on the ship for our dining for breakfast and lunch but for breakfast I enjoyed the Main Dining option on 3. I loved the a la Carte classic breakfast option while hubby liked the buffet. We traveled with 2 other couples. Two of us opted for the Grande Dining Room table 508 nightly while the 3rd couple bought a 3 meal package for specialty dining. All of us raved about our food every night. Our waiters as Maitre’d were THE best! Vikram and John were professional beyond what we have experienced on many of our former cruises. They made sure my birthday was celebrated with champagne and birthday cake and it is a day I treasure thanks to them in large part. Every night we saw their attention to making our meals special. As I missed the formal night (due to illness) Vikram made sure I had my favorite appetizer for me the last night although it wasn’t on the menu. John made me a flower to let me know he was thinking of me. Although Allure was huge once you figured out starboard and port you are just fine. Loved being close to the elevator so more mid ship and convenient to a forward and aft. Central Park with nightly music was beautiful and relaxing. Entertainment was wonderful. It was convenient making reservations before we sailed but I had to change a couple which was handled on Day 1. The only glitch was at the ice show we couldn’t find a seat but I was able to go on Saturday again. I missed Blue Planet when I was ill but my husband loved it. Mama Mia was my favorite but each show was amazing. Went to some clubs and again great entertainment. The parade the last night was fantastic. Cruise Entertainers were top notch. Great job to the Cruise Directors. Loved the convenience of communication via tv and Cruise Compass. Always went to adult pool in the solarium and always found a chair. Main pool was more crowded. We went to the Aqua pool for our safety talk and it was very efficient and painless. Mobile passport and getting on and off the ship was very easy.

Cabin Review

Cabin Ocean front Balcony 8D

Francis, our steward, kept our room spic and span. So glad we got the balcony this time. Lots of cabin options but the size, location near the elevator and balcony was perfect for us. Loved going out late at night to watch the stars. The shower was the best I have had on any cruise line. Hot water, curved shower door rather than curtain and nice sized shower shelf for supplies. Lots of storage. I had to be quarantined for a sudden illness and was in my room over 24 hours. Francis came in to disinfect and was so respectful and cheerful. RCL guest services and nurse called several times to check on me. When I was up to it I had free movies and a limited (due to medical) diet brought by room device. My husband brought books from the Library on the 11th floor. Although I missed formal night and lobster (darn) I totally understood. They are giving me a credit for a future cruise which I didn’t expect but will enjoy. Very grateful to all the smiling faces of the staff who greeted us every day. We know how hard they work and never let us know (although we do).
