My perspective is from a seasoned mature cruiser with over 25 cruises including most of the popular cruise lines. The food & service were fine in both the Main dining room & Windjammer Buffet. Other restaurants we liked are the Solarium Bistro & the Park Café all at no extra charge. Shows were a mixed bag the much touted Grease was too long at 90 minutes. The Music was OK, but the dialog was mostly silly & too long. " Columbus The Musical" was nothing more than a kid show, we almost walked out. The fine Line Aqua show was good, but beware is often cancelled to if it is too windy or rain is threatened.
The 1987 Journey in Time Ice Show was good. The annoying thing is that you have to make reservations almost at the time of booking. If you do not, you may not get in.
Most areas of the ship were too noisy except the Solarium where we liked to hang out, but it has NO pool. There were way too many children on board. It was past spring break & in late April they should have been in school.
Ocean view cabin was fine. Good attentive cabin steward. More than adequate storage for 2 adults. Shower & bath were above average. Good water pressure & shower seemed larger than most due to the improved curved glass shower door.
This is a relaxing beach. NOT actually the best beach but is OK. There are plenty of chaise lounges to be found. The food provided by RCCL was OK.
St Maarten has changed for the worse. We used to enjoy an adult beverage at one of the outside restaurants overlooking the beach & sit on the many benches available. BUT now they took all the benches away, so no place to sit & relax.
