The jazz cruise with three days in New Orleans was very enjoyable. Regular main dining room food generally was excellent. Ship's staff were friendly, professional and out and about throughout the ship. However, Celebrity's continued cutbacks were noticeable. Celebrity completely eliminated the publication of hard-copy daily news summaries (the daily USA, French, Germain, Spanish, British, etc.) papers. Apparently some of such information now is available through your TV menu. Ship's personnel also were not handing out any port maps when you exited the ship. I don't know if this was ship-wide or just in the cabins serviced by our attendant, but apparently toilet paper and facial tissues were only being replaced when the attendant thought it was needed. The room often did not have a spare roll of toilet paper or a box of facial tissue in the room. When we first entered our cabin on embarkation day we actually heard a woman from two cabins from us complaining to the attendant that there actually was no toilet paper in her cabin. We also noticed (except at the Martini Bar) that it was a rare occasion to actually get a napkin served with your drink. We only went to one enrichment activity. The lecture was just okay. We tried the Slush bar twice. First time the drinks were excellent. The Second time, the same drinks were very poor. We dined at Silk Harvest one evening. Service was excellent and we very much enjoyed the food. However, the quality of the Asian beef dishes was way below other dishes. I think not very high quality beef was being used.
